Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology

Coached by Mr. Arthur Cunningham

 

An intensive 9 to 12 week crash course in the field of robotics – designing, creating, and manufacturing a robot that will exceed the other robots on the game field.

Students who participate must maintain a B average or better in math and science, and they must interview with Mr. Cunningham regarding their seriousness and commitment to the team.

All schools receive the same box of supplies from which to create the robot, and the same game rules apply to all. Now it is a matter of who is the most creative and who can best operate their robot!

ACA competes in the Kansas Hub for the State competition.

The competition is fierce, and on Game Day

no one is sure who will be announced  . . .

EXCEPT THIS YEAR, BECAUSE WE WON!!!

We then placed 3rd in the Regional competition, qualifying to attend the National Tournament in April, held in Orlando, Florida! There we came in 4th place! Our robot won the distinction of being the "most elegant" and it also won the Founders Award for the best all-around robot.
